About
Every evening from around 7pm, open-air stalls set up near the main boat jetty on Gili Trawangan's east side to form the island's night market, the main budget dining spot on this car-free island off Lombok's northwest coast. Warung-style cafeterias and kaki lima carts grill fresh seafood to order alongside skewers and rice dishes, drawing divers, backpackers and day-trippers who eat at shared tables set up along the sandy waterfront path. It remains the cheapest and most social way to eat on an island otherwise dominated by beach-club restaurants.
