Built in 1992 to mark Madrid's year as European Capital of Culture, this 110-metre communications tower in Ciudad Universitaria has a glass-enclosed observation deck at 92 metres, reached by a fast lift. The 360-degree view takes in the Royal Palace, Cibeles Palace, the Telefónica building on Gran Vía and the Cuatro Torres business towers to the north, with the Guadarrama mountains visible on clear days beyond Casa de Campo park.
